Lockdown Cross-Stitch
These cross-stitch pieces were made as London entered a period of lockdown in March 2020 due to Covid-19.
The catalyst for the work was the magician William Marriott's photograph of a young girl operating a planchette, (one of several images he made to expose the trickery of spirit photography). This image has been re-created in cross-stitch form as part of the Ivy Walters' series (made before and during lockdown).
